Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse

Important French sculptor 1824-1887

Around 1850, he moved to England as a designer for Minton as well as Wedgewood.

After returning to Paris in 1855, he earned a Medal of Honour and the cross of the Legion d' Honneur for his sculpture.

Appointed director of works at Sèvres  in 1875. He was also a teacher of Auguste Rodin.
